The Book of Ally

For two years I documented how colleges and universities actually make the shift to inclusive design, and published it as a single volume.

I wrote and edited case studies in collaboration with Ally clients, field reports from the 2019 Ally Tour across 51 institutions in six countries, and the full Inclusive Learning Research Series analyzing accessibility data from more than 500 institutions. For the case studies I interviewed the accessibility professionals leading the work at each campus, drafted the write-ups from their responses, sent the drafts back for their review, and finalized with their approval, so the work carried their voice rather than mine.

The research was presented at every major conference in the field, including LMS user conferences (Canvas, D2L, and Blackboard mainstage), EDUCAUSE, Accessing Higher Ground, and internationally.
